[SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Ralf Krüdewagen
Hi,

after upgrading SF from 3.2 to 3.3, the datepicker input type from the
"Semantic Forms Inputs" extension (actual master) does not work any
more. The calendar icon is not shown. And when clicking into the
field, the calendar does not appear.

My form looks like:

{{{field|Time|input type=datepicker|default=now|property=Has time}}}

Cheers
Ralf

Ralf Krüdewagen
Hi,

no response so far. Can anyone confirm this behavior?
Is a fix to be made in SF or SFI?

Cheers
Ralf

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Cavila Contrafibularity
Hi Ralf,

Could you check for javascript errors?

I've had no luck using SF 3.3 myself. When I do an upgrade from 3.2 to 3.3, I get "ext.semanticforms.main: Error: Module ext.semanticforms.main has failed dependencies" on top of the form. It apparently affects the use of "add another" buttons for multiple-instance templates - in other words, they don't work. I should add that my use case is with the Chameleon skin installed. What skin are you using yourself?

Hi Cav,

Zitat von Cavila <[hidden email]>:

No JavaScript errors. Just many "deprecated" messages, which seem to
be unrelated.

I had no problem when updating.

Multi-instance templates work for me on SF 3.3.

The standard Vector skin.

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Ralf Krüdewagen
And what about Datepicker? Does the calendar work?

My system:

MediaWiki 1.25.1
Semantic Forms 3.3 (53fad3e)
Semantic Forms Inputs 0.9.0 alpha (ca16927)
Semantic MediaWiki 2.2.1

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Fannon
I've already reported this to Yaron two days ago, but SF 3.3 broke one
combobox widget within a multiple instance template.

I tried to debug this, but similar elements worked just fine.

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Ralf Krüdewagen
Hm, I updated two wikis and both don't display the datepicker calendar
any more (within multi-instance template).

Example:
https://www.kruedewagen.de/w/index.php?title=SandboxGlossary&action=formedit

The form:
https://www.kruedewagen.de/wiki/Formular:Glossary

Cheers
Ralf

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Yaron Koren-2
Hi Ralf,

Okay, it's helpful that you mentioned that it was in a multiple-instance
template - I figured that was the case, since the other two people with JS
problems also had them in multiple-instance templates, and since that was
the only part of the JS code that was modified in SF 3.3.

Your wiki is publicly-viewable, but not publicly-editable, so I can't see
the error there. Does any have such a problem on a wiki where the issue can
be seen? Barring that, could anyone reproduce it on a publicly-editable
wiki like scratchpad.referata.com? (Referata now uses SF 3.3.) I haven't
been able to see the problem myself, and I think neither has Stephan.

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Phil Legault

I 'm using Forms 3.3 and multi instance template with chameleon as well.

When I edit with form I don’t see any errors.

All the date pickers are missing on the existing instances and when I select the add button I do get the date picker and I’m able to set the date.

MediaWiki          1.23.9

PHP        5.4.16 (apache2handler)

MySQL  5.6.19-log

Semantic Forms                3.3 (53fad3e) 14:33, 18 June 2015

Semantic MediaWiki       2.2.1 (78836e8) 13:49, 2 June 2015

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

In reply to this post by Yaron Koren-2
Hi Yaron,

both pages I mentioned are editable by anonymous users (I made them
editable using "EditSubpages" extension). So, you should be able to
see that the datepicker does not work on following page

https://www.kruedewagen.de/w/index.php?title=SandboxGlossary&action=formedit

The field "Approval Time" stores the date value with input format
"datepicker". It only appears if "Approval Status" is "approved" or
"updated".

I just recognized that the datapicker works within new instances. But
not within existing instances.

As soon as I checkout SF 3.2 datepicker works fine.

Cheers
Ralf

Yes, that fits exactly to my experiences.

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Yaron Koren-2
Hi,

I just checked in what I think is a fix for this problem - hopefully these
SF and SFI issues are now gone.

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Ralf Krüdewagen
Hi Yaron,

thanks for working on this issue.

Unfortunately, the latest commit does not fully work. The good news:
The datepicker issue is gone. The bad news: But the "show on select"
feature does not fully work any more. New instances work fine with
"show on select", but existing instance don't.

See
https://www.kruedewagen.de/w/index.php?title=SandboxGlossary&action=formedit

The field "Approval Time" stores the date value with input format
"datepicker". The fields "Approved By" and "Approval Time" shall only
appear if "Approval Status" is "approved" or "updated". In 3.2 and 3.3
this works with all (new and existing) instances. With latest commit
it does not work with existing instances.

Cheers
Ralf

Re: [SF] Bug: Datepicker does not work after upgrade to 3.3

Yaron Koren-2
Hi Ralf,

Are you sure you're using the latest version of the SF code, with no other
changes? Looking at the HTML source of the form, the structure is not what
I would expect it to be; I expected tag attributes that look like
'id="...." data-origID="..." ', but I don't see such a thing.
