[SMW] [SRF] Problems when exporting data to csv (SMW) or excel (SRF)

mbenard
Dear all,

for the end users of our semantic wiki, I need to provide an export of the
semantic objects ( ~ 900 objects , each object is a wiki page) .

I do this with a query like {{#ask.... |format=csv|limit=1000|..}} or
{{#ask.... |format=excel|limit=1000|..}}

1) csv export:
In
extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/queryprinters/CsvResultPrinter.php ,
line 123
I changed the line from
 $definitions['limit']->setDefault( 100 );
to
 $definitions['limit']->setDefault( 1000 );

to get all my objects in the csv file. That works fine.

Note that CsvResultPrinter does not seem to use the global parameter
$smwgQMaxInlineLimit

2) excel export

In LocalSettings.php I put :

$smwgQMaxInlineLimit=1000;

but my above query returns an excel file with only 800 objects (lines):
about 100 objets are missing in the export.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

In general (without having checked each and every one) none of the result printers use $smwgQMaxInlineLimit directly. They just format whatever result is handed to them by SMW.

Regarding the excel export: Does this work with other formats, e.g. the unmodified CSV export?

Stephan

Yes it does.

1) Unmodifiyng
extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/queryprinters/CsvResultPrinter.php
(putting it back to $definitions['limit']->setDefault( 100 ); )
2) and querying for {{#ask .... [limit=1000|format=csv}}
3)  I get a csv with all my 865 objects (one per line)

SRF DataTables seems to work.
