Text-indent in a #ask query

david-217
Hi, somebody knows why text-indent doesn't work after the first result
in this #ask query with template?
http://teixidora.referata.com/wiki/Usuari:Dvdgmz/proves
Template here:
http://teixidora.referata.com/wiki/Plantilla:Show_event_line

Sure that will be something stupid that I'm not seeing :-(

thanks in advance

Dvdgmz.

Re: Text-indent in a #ask query

Hi David,

This is not really a Semantic Mediawiki, but a Mediawiki issue. Mediawiki
assumes every line break closes a paragraph and auto generates the
paragraph tag. If you check the page source for the page you linked to
you'll see the paragraph is closing after the line break. The question
isn't why it does not work after the first result, but why it works in the
first result. I assume this part of Mediawiki's strange behavior with white
space. Maybe, and let me stress this is a maybe, the following change would
fix it:

As the template is:

<p style="margin-left:4em; text-indent:-4em;
color:#ff3c91;">_____{} <span
style="background-color:#ff3c91; padding-left:0.8em; font-size:0.9em;
text-decoration:none">[[{}|<span style="color:#fff">+
info/edita</span>]]</span><br/>
<span style="color:black; font-size:0.9em">{{#if:{}|des de}}
{} {{#if:{}| fins a {}
}}{{#if:{}|a {} }}</span><br/>
{{#if:{}|<span style="font-size:0.9em">· [{}
web] </span>}}{{#ifexist:{}/apunts|<span
style="font-size:0.9em">· apunts
</span>|{{#if:{}|<span style="font-size:0.9em">·
[{} apunts] </span>}} }}{{#if:{}|<span
style="font-size:0.9em">· @{} </span>}}</p>

Change to (getting rid of white space):

<p style="margin-left:4em; text-indent:-4em;
color:#ff3c91;">_____{} <span
style="background-color:#ff3c91; padding-left:0.8em; font-size:0.9em;
text-decoration:none">[[{}|<span style="color:#fff">+
info/edita</span>]]</span><br/><span style="color:black;
font-size:0.9em">{{#if:{}|des de}} {}
{{#if:{}| fins a {} }}{{#if:{}|a
{} }}</span><br/>
{{#if:{}|<span style="font-size:0.9em">· [{}
web] </span>}}{{#ifexist:{}/apunts|<span
style="font-size:0.9em">· apunts
</span>|{{#if:{}|<span style="font-size:0.9em">·
[{} apunts] </span>}} }}{{#if:{}|<span
style="font-size:0.9em">· @{} </span>}}</p>

Test it out. Hopefully it works.
