The PEARL Project

SJ-5

This looks fascinating.  Wikinews should channel into this, and help out
(and even solicit content from / share content with them).

This is a neat project where any high school aged kid can become certified
as a journalist through online training and then publish on their site.

It isn't blog related, but it could be an interesting way to help youth
learn more about journalism.
